The RUclips algorithm recommended Isaac Alexander DIY to me. Turned out to be one of the best decisions RUclips ever made.
One of the absolute best DIY videos that I've ever seen. You explained simply and clearly and it's all done with normal stuff anyone can get their hands on. I hate watching a "beginner" DIY Halloween tutorial that was made using things like 3D printers etc that most people don't have. I loved this. Thank you
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment!
@@IsaacAlexanderDIYwhat lights did u use inside
who else was going to smack the screen when the spider crawled across?
While I was editing this video I told myself that nobody would notice the spider 😆😆
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY I thought he was a nice touch! definitely Halloweeny lol
🙋 lmfao
Yeah, that got me too. I was in bed with my iPad suspended above me and thought a critter needed a smacking 😆🤣
I really like how you take the time to explain everything and show all the parts with labels. For someone like me who does not have a lot of experience with these kinds of projects, I find it very helpful.
Thank you so much for this awesome feedback David! I just wanted to make a video that was super easy for anyone to follow.
The real spider was a nice, creepy touch. Thank you!
this is the best version of the witch cauldron ive seen! cheers mate!
Thank you so much!
I’ve done several cauldrons over the years but this one is the best I’ve ever seen, Amazing job, I will be updating mine, hopefully I can get it done before Halloween 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Jason! This means a lot!
Ok, follow up time: I finally completed my fire pit, and it’s safe to say-it came out beautifully!! I’m really excited. Shame on me for doubting and/or having questions 😂 This is seriously the best tutorial. To those watching/reading, if you just follow these directions and his advice, you truly can’t mess it up. Thank you again!!
Wow, thanks for this, Isaac! These instructions are so clear, and you explain everything so well. I've always been nervous to try something animated, but your video actually makes me feel like I could make this awesome prop!
You can do it Amanda!😃 I had never built an animatronic or an animated prop before. I was actually nervous and unsure of how it would turn out because the directions I was getting were from various different sources and a lot of the times I had to improvise. But I made sure I made a tutorial that would be super easy for anybody to follow cause I wanted to make it easier for others. Also if you ever get stuck with something, I’m always here to help
Dude! I can’t wait to see what your whole yard looks like! Awesome Video!
Thanks bestie!
This was really awesome, but I couldn't help but notice that that spider Really wanted to be in your video.😄
Haha 😆 it certainly did
two of your best videos!! the cauldron is amazing. I'm so hyped for halloween now!!
😎
Fantastic work! I enjoyed the time you spent with explaining how to complete this and it looks awesome! I will be watching your channel quite a bit for your ideas and projects. Thank you for doing this.
amazing.
It looks spooky, but it's also gorgeous and creative.
Thank you Carlo! I think so too!
This was super easy to understand, and the instructions were clear. Thanks! I’m definitely doing this!!
Thank you for the awesome feedback. I try to make things as easy as possible so that anyone can make it.
One of the coolest ideas I've seen. Thank you for sharing with all of us. I may steal this one 😊
The most creative bop in the world. 🥸
You did a fantastic job on this project. Kudo’s and hats off to you.
Love it! Thanks for sharing 👍 What made it even cooler was the spider crawling infront the camera lol🕷
Thank you so much. That spider wanted a cameo
Thank you for doing it step by step so even those of us who aren't good with electronics can do it.
Really liked the way you made the fire and ash effect. Now that LEDs are so available covering them with Great Stuff is not a problem as they are so much more reliable than the old mini incandescent bulbs.
Thank you Mark! Correct about the LED bulbs. They’re so inexpensive now and they’re more reliable
Isaac, I recently was not well and watched you build and teach and I have to say besides loving Halloween, Christmas and holidays you blew me away! You’re a true artist! Keep making and creating young man! Would love to see your Halloween display. Happy Halloween!
Absolutely genius 👏 you are a master creator ! I enjoyed watching the video very much.
I have never been more excited for Halloween 🎃
Can’t wait!
The organization and clarity of your videos *chefs kiss*
Thank you so much for this awesome comment. I try to break it down in ways that I would understand because if it’s too complicated, I don’t want it lol
Incredible. Above and beyond.
AWESOME DIY! I love how it turned out!
Thank you so much!
This is just totally awesome! You make it all look so easy!
Thank you Wendy!
Amazing! The burnt amber/fire looks great 🤗
Thank you Jane! Loved how it turned out
Halloween stores got nothing compared to this!! ❤️
Go big or go home 😌
I got to say amazing work. Really really love this. Thanks for sharing your techniques.
Thank you so much!
This is brilliant. This is one of the most creative DYI videos on RUclips. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays an you do it up right.
Thanks Isaac Loved seeing it in person ,told you I was subscribed lol thanks for letting us take photos and you did a fantastic job.
This was one of the best DIY videos yet. You have a great imagination!
Thank you so much! 😊
One of the best explained videos that I have seen! It turned out amazing! Awesome job!
Thank you so much! I like to break things down to make it easier to follow
Great thorough explanation of everything
Thank you so much Ken!
The intricacies 🤯🤯🤯🤯🖤 amazing
😍
Great video and cool effect. Small tip ... that white/gray paint job starting around the 3 min mark would have been way easier if you used a larger chip brush and dry brushed it. Makes hitting the high spots go way faster since you don't have to be so precise.
That is actually such an amazing tip. It was very time-consuming and tedious using that small brush. Now I know for next time. Thank you
Wow that came our great! Very creative and brilliant!
Love your videos for all your creations. Excellent detail information. Thanks
Absolutely love it!
Superb!
Thank you so much . I do a haunted house in my garage and I so want to build the witch and cauldron at the entrance. What a show starter! Your video was so easy to follow. You're a great teacher.
I’m so happy you liked the video! Hope you’re able to make them!
Awesome easy explanation..seriously well done 👏 ✔️
i will DEFINITELY be replicating this in halloween!
Oy mate, show me when it’s done
Great Project, this turned out awesome
Thank you! Glad you like it 🧙🏻♀️
Very creative! I love it!
In in process of building my own right now. Thank you for the link to the Acrylic disk!
I love this. You have some great builds
Thanks Brian!
Wowww, wowww. Such a good project. This could be made on a smaller scale too in my house🧙♀️
Wow thank you so much for sharing
Loving your Halloween ideas
Very cool!!! you make very good DIY videos!! easy to follow and create!!
Thank you so much!
Good idea, just sort of expensive. But it gave me a great idea. I’m going to do a very low budget version incorporating the light ideas. Thanks. Awesome video.
Same here...I’d be interested in coat cutting ideas you had!
Love the dragon! Keep up the good work!
Amazing love it ❤️ will be here for more
I love how you explained every step. I built the witch. Now working on the cauldron. Although I can't spend $70 for a monster pack. I have a wiper motor from a car. I had already bought all the couplings, nuts, washers, and the metal rod. They are a little bit to big, so now I am trying to find a way to work with what I have. LOL
Thank you so much for your kind comment and I’m so happy that my tutorial helped you. Yes, the monster pack is quite pricey, but various members have had success with a wiper motor so you’re definitely onto something! It’ll work for you
Quality content right here. Awesome
Thank you so much Zane!
Your channel popped up in my feed...so glad it did! I watched the witch and then this one. Thank you for the very detailed instructions. You earned a new subscriber.
Thank you so much for this awesome comment Karan! I broke it down in a way that it would be simple for anyone to follow. Hope you enjoy the upcoming Christmas tutorials that I’m uploading soon
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY Looking forward to it!
It really was just perfect!!!🎃
Thank you so much!
Amazing job
Thank you so much
I'll be stocking your DIY videos to make sure your tools are hung straight😂 mind blowing stuff, great video.
Thank you so much!
Really good job.
Thank you so much
I love this!!!
Y’all need to come see it
a work of art
Its amazing anyone would give this a thumbs down . This is so awesome!!!!
Thank you so much Diana !
I'm going to try this I hope I can get it done
yesssss we're loving the content!!! :)
Thank you Juan!
Looks like car wiper motor, ,a window motor also works. The extra part looks like something to slow the motor speed down. I think you can use a dimmer switch and then a power supply 120 to 12v.
Very good and clear DIY video brother! Super cool too I’m definitely gonna give this ago and gonna check out what other stuff you got on your channel! Thanks
Thanks Trace! Means a lot! Make sure to hit that subscribe button, my Halloween collection this year is gonna be really awesome
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY I will, appreciate it. I plan on doing one of those violent moving groundbreakers first and then your with is next on my list! I’m new to making stuff with pneumatic cylinders and the motors so I’m kinda nervous. Good with wood work, welding and metal but not soo much with the motors and programming.
I so gonna try this and the witch lol for next year great video sir
anyone else see the spider crawl across the screen @ 15:30? i nearly slapped my computer monitor off my desk lolol
That’s awesome!!!! WOW!!!!!
Thank you, Phoebe 😃
You're welcome. =)
This is soo great!
Thank you Zenith!
Love this....so AWESOME!!
Thank you so much!
look good love the green light shining on the with face and hands! happy halloween!
This is the best and easies to follow! You killed it!💀🤙🏽
Thank you so much !
Wow/ I absolutely love it!!! 💯☠️💀🖤
I cannot believe you made this!
Super cool!
Sooooo cool 😎
This is so cool Sir!
Thanks Nathan. You have done well
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY thank you Sir
That spider at 15:30 almost made me throw my iPad. Too real!
😂😅 it wanted to make a cameo
Beautifully done! Love halloween🎃🎃🎃
Thank you Nicole
If my dad was still here he would've done this. 🥲
Very cool love it
Thank you so much, Griselda
OMG ! I love it!
Thank you so much Juan!
amazing!
Thank you Rob!
Wouawh 😍 j'adore !!!! Quel dommage que je ne sache pas en faire autant 😅 j'aimerais le même 🤗 c'est vraiment génial !
😊😊😊merci!
This was awesome glad I found your page
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here
Pro tip: if you have a jig saw and a fine tooth blade (usually labeled “for metal”), you can cut your own acrylic circles and save a few bucks. Just put masking tape over the cut line and go slowly.
Thank you for this tip!
I love how the little spider video bombed you 😊❤ nice job dude
This was insane. The overall effect was terrifying and disturbing. The detail went beyond the typical foam fire pit look. A gentle mister from behind the cauldron would take this over the top.
Thank you so much for this awesome feedback! I’m glad you like it. I do need a fog machine now
What an amazing job, Isaac! You explained that so well, I'm confident I can do it. ( This coming from the girl that has no tools!)😅 I saw pictures of burning embers on Pinterest, you took it to another level. Thank you.
Same! I’m currently moving, but am planning on getting some tools that I’ve been eying for a while. It’s a bundle that comes with different things including a rotary tool, heat gun, air brush, etc. I won’t have it in time for Halloween, but next year for sure!!
I’m planning on undertaking this project for the upcoming Halloween. Both your video and overall design are phenomenal and I’m super excited for this one. That being said I really wanted to add some kind of fog effect to it. This design looks cool, but Wicked Makers had a cauldron that looked more realistic, mostly because it had a mist effect rising from the pot. I thought it would look best to combine both ideas and have the pot stirring with fog/mist effects as well to hide the obvious non-liquid properties of the clear plate. I think the most simple way to add a fog effect to this prop would be to just buy a fog machine with a tube running into the bottom of the cauldron. The fog then rises, and slips in between the holes and crevices in the plate. I just don’t know how convincing this effect would look when put into practice. Not sure if you have an answer to this, but do you think this concept would accomplish the desired outcome? Either way, thanks again for the inspiration! This one could really steal the show for me this year if I don’t botch it.
Did you end up trying it? Did it work?
@@amysirawskyofficial Lol, no. I still want to, but I’m also trying to budget a bit because I do have to pay for college. I doubt I’ll be able to take it on even this year, maybe next year 🤔
I had the exact same idea. On another video I watched, they attempted to have a container of water sitting inside the top of the cauldron with an ultrasonic fogger with LED lights sitting in the water to create the fog. However, what they discovered was that because the water container didn't fit snugly to the interior wall of the cauldron, the fog went over the side of the container and down the gap between the container and the inner wall of the cauldron and ended up underneath the container, almost like it had been sucked downwards. As I am making my own cauldron as well, I had a similar idea to you where I thought maybe I could hose in fog (create a tunnel/tube with some pvc pipe at the time of making the fire pit) through the bottom/side and run the hose up around the inner edge of the lip of the cauldron and puncture holes in the hose. This would only create fog around the rim of the cauldron though, unless maybe holes were also punctured on the side of the hose so the fog could be pushed out of the hose towards the centre of the cauldron. Alternatively, following your idea, hose in the fog as I suggested above but fill the whole void in the cauldron underneath the perspex plate but may need a small fan or two to push the fog gently out. It may still only flow over the sides though and not over the top of the perspex. This will be trial and error I guess.
Another possibility would be to put the fog generator inside the witch, and hose down the sleeve and stirrer to the top of the cauldron. Good haunting!
Good job!
Thank you!
At first I thought this was gonna be a sculpture video on The Black Cauldron, but it's just a witch's cauldron 😅
I thought it was a mantle-size piece. This gave me ideas for a miniature! I wonder if music box/cuckoo clock components would be best for movement
Oh that sounds like a wonderful idea! I think a music box component would work better
Great video will definitely attempt to put this together! I am trying to get all similar size to what you had and the I cant seem to find a 17 inch cauldron. I do see the 16 inch piece of acrylic though
I’m glad you liked the video!
It’s not a 17 inch cauldron you need, it’s a 22 inch cauldron with a 17 inch diameter opening.
They actually have them for 20 bucks at party city. Here’s the link:
www.partycity.com/extra-large-black-cauldron-87915.html
The "spider" cameo, was awesome. Hahahaha. Great video!! Thanks.
I picked up Great Stuff PestBlock. It comes in gray color and would take less paint to cover and accent the foam.
The reason the red can was used was to save money. The pest block cost 2-3x more so it starts adding up
